“Skanda” took a huge opening on the first day, creat ing a record in Ram Pothineni’s career. The action drama, directed by Boyapati, made a killing at the ticket windows. It collected a whopping Rs 8.62 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The film also grossed $101k from premiere shows in the USA. This is his second biggest opening in his career in the USA.
The film didn’t receive good reviews, but the opening and collections were strong.
“Skanda” also benefited from the Milad-Un-Nabi holiday in AP and Telangana. The long weekend will help the film post some good numbers.
