Devara generates massive revenue in its first week

The first-week collections for “Devara” are simply superb. The film grossed more than Rs 300 crore worldwide in its first week, making it the highest collected movie in NTR’s solo hero career.

The film attained super hit status.

Both in the domestic markets of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, as well as in North America, the Telugu version performed strongly, achieving solid numbers. While the Telugu version collected more than Rs 100 crore (share) in India, North America’s share is Rs 29.5 crore.

In North India, the Hindi version collected Rs 43 Cr (nett), the best in NTR’s career.

“Devara,” however, didn’t put up any impressive numbers with Tamil and Malayalam versions.

Directed by Siva Koratala, “Devara” was an action drama with the sea coast serving as the backdrop for the story. NTR played a dual role, with Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. Saif Ali Khan played the antagonist.
