For the past several weeks, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding the release of a video preview for NTR’s upcoming film “Devara.” Finally, it was released to YouTube today.
The video for “Devara Part-1” begins with sea scenes and a combat scenario. Devara, played by NTR, arrives and battles with swords against some guys attempting to steal wagons from a ship. With all the blood spilled, the fight on the beach paints the sea red.
One visual in particular stands out. A drop of blood in the air transforms the half moon into a full moon, and this aesthetically filmed shot is appealing.
“You never touch the sea…”, an English song sung by music director Anirudh Ravichander himself, runs throughout this 1 minute 19 second video.
NTR’s voice concludes the video by adding that the sea saw more blood.
He says “Ee Samudram Sapalani Kante Kattulani Netturni Ekkuva Undadi, Soosi. Deenni Erra Samudram Antaru Andukenemo (The saw witnessed more bloods and swords than fish. No wonder it is called ‘Red Sea’.”
“Devara” is being split into two parts and directed by Koratala Siva. The first part will hit theaters in April 2024. Janhvi Kapoor plays the heroine in the film. The film is produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Harikrishna, and it is presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.
