Producer Dil Raju made it clear that Nani didn’t raise the objection of releasing ‘V’ on OTT platforms. ‘V’ that features Nani and Sudheer Babu in the lead roles is directed by Indraganti Mohan Krishna and produced by Dil Raju. The film was originally scheduled for March 25 release but the release was halted due to the lockdown period.
A streaming giant offered producer Dil Raju big money to release it on their platform instead of theaters. It was reported that Nani was dead against this idea. Dil Raju said, “none of our Tollywood stars have any objection to releasing movies on OTT platforms. It is we producers were not sure about recovering our investment from these digital companies. We have decided to wait and watch for some more time.”
Dil Raju also mentioned that if theaters don’t open for another three months, they will have to release their movies on OTT. But for now, they will closely observe the situation.
