August 15 is the most coveted day for films. The producers of Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa 2” locked that date many months ago, and it made all the other biggies look for another date. However, production delays have forced a postponement. Although the producers have not officially announced the postponement, they did inform distributors and other producers.
Thus, producer-director Puri Jagannadh quickly grabbed the vacant August 15th slot. His current film, “Double iSmart,” starring Ram Pothineni, will arrive on Independence Day. The makers announced this today with a new poster.
The poster depicts Ram sporting Vibhooti’s horizontal lines. In the background, we can also see a Shiva Lingam.
Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist. Kavya Thapar is the lead actress. The film is a sequel to “iSmart Shankar,” and Ram reprises the same role.
Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur produce the film under the Puri Connects banner.
