Exclusive: Anirudh’s remuneration impacts other music directors

Anirudh Ravichander is unquestionably the number one music director in India right now. With numerous blockbusters under his keyboard player, he has become a must-have technician for all major films in the Tamil film industry.

Anirudh Ravichander recently made a successful Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan.” Having previously worked on numerous Telugu films, he is now being sought out by many Telugu film producers. Anirudh Ravichander is currently working on NTR’s “Devara”.

However, his remuneration is so high that most production companies cannot afford to hire him. He charges between Rs 10 crore and Rs 12 crore for each film, depending on the project and its scale. He will not work for less than Rs 8 crore.

Following his remuneration, legendary music directors AR Rahman and MM Keeravani have increased their pay. Devi Sri Prasad has already started quoting Rs 8 crore following the huge success of “Pushpa 2.”

According to our sources, AR Rahman will also receive a whopping Rs 10 crore for Ram Charan – Buchi Babu’s “RC16”. Anirudh is the reason for other music directors hiking their fees.
