Samantha is all set to groove to a sizzling item number in director Sukumar’s ‘Pushpa’ starring Allu Arjun. The makers have announced her name today officially.
“Pushpa’s 5th song is special and needed someone special. We reached out to our very special Samantha garu and she gleefully agreed to come on board owing to the rapport we’ve developed over time. We are super excited to announce that Samantha garu is going to light up the screens with Icon star Allu Arjun in the fifth single,” Mythri Movie Makers, the production house of the film, wrote.
Here’s our exclusive update. Besides the special rapport that she maintains with director Sukumar, hero Allu Arjun, and the production house, she also takes home a huge remuneration for the song. Our sources inform that she is getting Rs 1.5 crore in a single payment for the song, which will be wrapped up in one week. Samantha charges Rs 2 crore as an actress for a movie. But she is getting 1.5 crore rupees for a single song.
Composed by Devi Sri Prasad, the song will be filmed next week.
In Sukumar’s films, item songs occupy a special place. In Sukumar’s previous blockbuster ‘Rangsthalam’, Samantha was the heroine of the film and she is now playing item girl in this film.
This also happens to be her first big movie post her separation from Naga Chaitanya.
