The first season of Telugu cinema of the year 2025, the Sankranthi Festival, concluded. Three films – “Game Changer,” “Daaku Maharaaj,” and “Sankranthiki Vasthunam” – were released during Sankranthi and are still playing in theaters.
The second wave of new films will debut next month.
Naga Chaitanya’s eagerly anticipated film “Thandel” hits theaters in its first week. The film’s promotions are in full force. The songs have also gone viral. Ajith Kumar’s dubbed film “Pattudala” will be released one day earlier (on February 6).
On Valentine’s Day, three films will compete: Vishwak Sen’s “Laila”, Kiran Abbavaram’s “Dilruba”, and Brahmanandam’s “Brahma Anandam”. Vishwak Sen will launch intensive promotional campaigns right before the release, giving his “Laila” an advantage. Kiran Abbavaram just achieved success with “KA” and hopes to repeat the magic with “Dilruba”. The film “Brahma Anandam” stars renowned comedian Brahmanandam and his son Raja Gowtam.
Sundeep Kishan’s film “Mazaka” will be released in the third week of February. The film has made headlines due to director Trinadha Rao Nakkina’s statements against actress Anshu’s physical appearance. The film’s teaser seemed funny.
Aadhi Pinishetty’s dubbed film “Shabdam” will be released in the last week of this month.
Overall, the month of February will see approximately eight major films.
