Gemini TV bags Guntur Kaaram’s satellite rights

The Telugu film satellite market has completely collapsed. Today, OTT rights fetch enormous sums of money for producers, but closing a satellite deal has become a herculean task.

Satellite channels are also feeling the heat because TRPs for new film premieres aren’t worth much to them. As a result, the channels are showing little interest in acquiring even big-budget films.

This is why the producers of “Guntur Kaaram” were unable to finalize the satellite deal until recently, despite the fact that the OTT rights were sold to Netflix last year.

Finally, the satellite rights to “Guntur Kaaram” were recently bought by Gemini TV.

Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela, and Ramya Krishna star in the film. The film, directed by Trivikram, is set to be released on January 12.
