Director Harish Shankar has officially confirmed that the much-awaited cop drama “Ustaad Bhagat Singh,” starring Power Star and newly elected Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, will resume filming in the second week of June.

Speaking to the media after offering prayers at the Tirumala temple, Harish Shankar said, “I visited Tirumala to seek Lord Venkateshwara’s blessings ahead of the film’s next shooting schedule. We are all set to restart work from next week.”

Sharing a lighthearted moment from the temple visit, Harish added, “While performing pooja, I told Panthulu gaaru that the Deputy CM is the hero of my film. He blessed me with a warm smile.”

“Ustaad Bhagat Singh” was launched in 2023 with much fanfare, but filming came to a halt after just ten days due to Pawan Kalyan shifting his focus to politics. Following his remarkable electoral success and swearing-in as Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy CM, the actor-politician is now making time to complete his long-pending film projects.

Pawan Kalyan has already completed shooting for “Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” which is slated for release shortly. Simultaneously, production is also underway on his gangster drama “OG.” With “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” now back on track, the film is expected to release in summer 2026.

In “Ustaad Bhagat Singh,” Pawan Kalyan plays a dynamic cop in a high-octane action entertainer, and expectations are sky-high given the previous success of the Harish Shankar-Pawan Kalyan combo in Gabbar Singh.
