Music director Thaman has confirmed that he worked on the background music of “Pushpa 2.” Devi Sri Prasad, the film’s music director, experienced delays in the film’s production. Hence, the makers roped in Thaman as an additional music composer to complete the work fast.
“Sukumar Garu asked me to complete the entire background music for the film in 15 days, but I know I cannot complete it within that time for such a gigantic film. I told them I would work on the first half of the movie, and I wrapped it,” Thaman said.
“After watching the film, all I can say is that all awards will fall in Allu Arjun’s lap again. He is terrific. The film came out superb,” Thaman added.
Thaman celebrates his birthday today.
Shankar’s “Game Changer” and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Daaku Maharaaj,” both slated for Sankranthi 2025 release, are among the high-profile films he is currently working on. Prabhas’s “The Raja Saab” is another big project he has.
“Shankar Garu introduced me as an actor in ‘Boys’. But I never thought I would get a chance to work with him in the capacity of a composer. Shankar sir had a deep appreciation for my music in ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’, a film he had watched numerous times, and he expressed his desire to collaborate on ‘Game Changer’. It was mind-boggling to witness Shankar’s picturization of the songs. It will be a feast for audiences,” he said.
Informing more about ‘Game Changer’, Thaman added, “We will be releasing a duet on the 20th of this month. In the USA, we will be releasing another song named ‘Dope’. The album has a total of six songs.”
