Is ‘Akhanda 2’ really happening?

Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu have collaborated on three films, all of which have been box office successes. Among them, ‘Akhanda’ is the most popular.

‘Akhanda,’ which starred Nandamuri Balakrishna as the titular character and was released in December 2021, resonated with audiences for its out-and-out mass elements as well as devotional content. One of the film’s strong points is the rousing soundtrack composed by Thaman.

There has been speculation that the filmmakers intend to make a sequel. On the auspicious Maha Shivaratri day, composer SS Thaman confirmed the sequel on social media. He wrote, “Trust in God. God Bless. Let’s meet soon in Akhanda 2.”

Balakrishna is currently working on a film directed by Anil Ravipudi, while Boyapati is directing Ram Pothineni. We’ll have to wait and see when ‘Akhanda 2’ takes place.
