Koratala Siva turns 51: NTR’s wish makes no mention of Devara 2

Director Koratala Siva celebrated his 51st birthday today. The filmmaker, known for delivering several blockbuster hits, is currently gearing up for his next project with Nandamuri Balakrishna.

Koratala established himself as one of Telugu cinema’s most successful directors with films such as “Mirchi” (2013) starring Prabhas, “Srimanthudu” (2015) and “Bharat Ane Nenu” (2018) with Mahesh Babu, and “Janatha Garage” (2016) featuring NTR. After the setback of “Acharya” (2022), he made a strong comeback with “Devara: Part 1” in 2024.

While his film with Balakrishna is expected to commence soon, there is still no official update on “Devara 2.”

No Mention of Devara 2

Marking the occasion, NTR took to social media to wish Koratala Siva. He wrote, “Happy Birthday Siva! A storyteller who turns simplicity into something unforgettable. Wishing you many more years of inspiring cinema.”

Interestingly, neither NTR nor Koratala Siva made any reference to “Devara 2,” a project that was originally announced as a two-part franchise.

NTR is currently busy with “Dragon,” directed by Prashanth Neel and slated for release in June 2027. He is expected to follow it up with “God of War,” directed by Trivikram Srinivas. With these two major projects likely to occupy the next few years of his schedule, uncertainty continues to surround the timeline for “Devara 2.”

Although “Devara: Part 1” performed well commercially, the film also faced criticism and trolling on social media. As of now, there is no indication regarding when the sequel will move forward.
