The team behind “AA22xA6” has officially confirmed Deepika Padukone’s involvement in the film. Today, Sun Pictures, the production house, released a video featuring Deepika in a special suit, shooting in a studio under the direction of Atlee.
The team warmly welcomed her on board for this massive sci-fi project, which is headlined by Allu Arjun. Sun Pictures wrote: “The Queen marches to conquer! Welcome onboard @deepikapadukone #TheFacesOfAA22xA6.”
The video is similar in style to the one released for Allu Arjun when the film was announced in April. Director Atlee has been testing the looks of all the actors on a blue-mat set. In this new clip, Deepika Padukone is seen riding a horse with a sword in hand, hinting that the film will blend fantasy, period, and sci-fi elements.
Touted as a story set across parallel universes, Atlee is mounting the film on a grand scale with a massive budget.
Allu Arjun will be playing a dual role, and the film will feature three to five main female characters. Today, the team unveiled Deepika Padukone’s look and name as one of the key “faces” of the project.
In the coming days, other lead actresses—such as Mrunal Thakur and Janhvi Kapoor—are expected to be officially announced. Buzz is that both actresses have already been finalized for prominent roles in the film.
