If director Koratala Siva receives final approval from NTR, the shooting of “Devara 2” is likely to commence later this year. While there has been some uncertainty about NTR’s consent to the sequel, producer Sudhakar Mikkilineni recently sounded confident, announcing that the film is expected to go on floors from June, with a targeted 2027 release.
If things fall in place, Janhvi Kapoor will be juggling as many as three Telugu films this year. She is already shooting for “Peddi,” where she plays the female lead opposite Ram Charan. The film is expected to hit the screens in the first half of 2026.
In addition to this, Janhvi has also signed Allu Arjun’s much-anticipated sci-fi project with director Atlee, tentatively titled AA22xA6. Although the makers are yet to officially announce her inclusion, she is expected to join the shooting in the coming months.
Should “Devara 2” materialise as planned, Janhvi will also return to the sets of the NTR starrer, where she played his love interest in the first part.
Though her role and screen time were limited in “Devara”, the song “Chuttamalle” became a massive viral hit. Reports suggest she may have a more substantial role in the sequel.
