Bollywood actress Kajol has issued a clarification regarding her recent comment that she always felt Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad was haunted. The remark did not sit well with RFC’s management and film lovers, as the studio is one of India’s busiest filming hubs, with Bollywood, Tollywood, and Kollywood movies being shot there daily.
Kajol’s husband, actor Ajay Devgn, regularly shoots his Hindi films at Ramoji Film City. However, her remarks gained some traction after old videos and interviews resurfaced, showing other celebrities recalling eerie experiences at the location.
To put an end to the speculation, Kajol took to X.com on Monday to clarify that her comments were made in the context of promoting her film MAA, and that she has nothing against the film city.
Here’s Kajol’s statement:
“I wish to address my earlier remark about Ramoji Film City in the context of promoting my film MAA.
I have filmed multiple projects at Ramoji Film City and stayed there many times over the years. I have always found it to be a very professional environment for filmmaking and I have seen so many tourists enjoying themselves. It’s a great destination and absolutely safe for families and children.”
