Veteran producer Dil Raju had secured Ram Charan’s dates even while the actor was still filming Rajamouli’s “RRR.” His planning seemed impeccable. Pairing Ram Charan with director Shankar right after the global success of RRR was expected to be a winning formula. Dil Raju hoped the project “Game Changer” would match, if not exceed, the scale and impact of Rajamouli’s blockbuster.

However, things didn’t go as planned. The film’s production was plagued by delays, with Shankar taking over three years to complete it. The budget ballooned, interest on finances mounted, and upon release, “Game Changer “turned out to be a massive flop.

The result left Dil Raju facing significant losses. Yet, beyond the financial setback, the producer admits to feeling a deep sense of regret.

“After a global blockbuster like RRR, Ram Charan deserved another big hit. I had everything planned well, but things didn’t fall into place. It was my mistake. I should have included everything in the contract before production began. It was my first time working with a big director like Shankar, and I wasn’t careful enough for contract writing.I will definitely produce another film with him—perhaps after three years,” he said.

At present, Dil Raju does not have ongoing projects with any of the top-tier stars like Prabhas, NTR, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun, or Mahesh Babu. Still, he remains optimistic and confident that he will soon get the opportunity to collaborate with them again on big-ticket films.
