‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is three hours long

The censor formalities for “Kalki 2898 AD” have been completed. The film was awarded an UA certificate by CBFC, with a couple of minor cuts asking the makers to mute or change certain words.

The censor board cleared the film. The movie’s length is 180 minutes. If we deduct titles and other cards, the film will be 2 hours, 55 minutes long. The three-hour-long narration is required, said director Nag Ashwin.

The film revolves around three worlds: Kaashi (earth), a complex (a hanging heaven), and Shambala, a fictional planet. Prabhas plays Bhairava, one who can take people from earth to Shambala, or a complex for units (currency).

The film has mixed sci-fi elements and mythology. The story begins 6,000 years after the ‘Mahabharata’ timeline.Featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, “Kalki 2898 AD” hits theaters on June 27, 2024.
