Kangana Ranaut, the BJP candidate from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, won her first election as a Member of Parliament. She won the Mandi Lok Sabha seat with over 72,088 votes.
The 37-year-old Bollywood actress defeated Congress party candidate Vikramaditya Singh. She joined the BJP earlier this year and ran as the party’s candidate from Mandi, her hometown.
She has been a strong supporter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She had blasted numerous Bollywood actors and celebrities on a variety of issues. She had a massive clash with actors like Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor.
Kangana appeared in numerous Bollywood blockbusters and won awards. She has also acted in Telugu films such as “Ek Niranjan” and a few Tamil films.
