“Khaidi” (Kaithi) remains one of the biggest hits in actor Karthi’s career, and the film concluded with a clear hint at a sequel. However, even after six years, “Khaidi 2” has not gone on floors, as director Lokesh Kanagaraj continues working on films with top stars.
Reports suggest that Lokesh and Karthi recently had a disagreement, since the director could not commit to the sequel.
Lokesh is currently looking at teaming up with either Aamir Khan or Allu Arjun for his next big project.
During the promotions of “Annagaru Vostaru” in Hyderabad, Karthi appeared visibly uncomfortable when fans asked about “Khaidi 2.” He simply responded, “It will happen,” avoiding further discussion.
Karthi also revealed that he is keen to work with Telugu directors, confirming that Vivek Athreya recently met him and narrated a script.
