Keerthy Suresh, a Malayalee by birth, began her career in Malayalam films in 2013. But once she stepped into Tamil and Telugu films, she solely focussed on her career in these two languages. She didn’t do a single Malayalam film in the last nine years except for the recent Mohanlal’s period drama, ‘Marakkar’.

She has now signed a Malayalam film opposite Tovino Thomas. “Ending the month with a new beginning and new journey,” she announced on Instagram.
Titled ‘Vaashi’, she began shooting for the film on Sunday.
In Telugu, Keerthy Suresh is acting alongside Mahesh Babu in ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’, and she also plays sister to Megastar Chiranjeevi in ‘Bholaa Shankar’.
