Lakshmi Manchu adopts schools in Telangana

While finishing up post-production on her next film, “Agni Nakshatram,” Lakshmi Manchu has announced that her nonprofit, Teach for Change, will be adopting multiple schools in Hyderabad.

The primary goal of this massive undertaking is to improve the educational opportunities available to disadvantaged students. Fifteen schools in Hyderabad, twenty-five in Rangareddy district, eighty-one in Yadadri, sixteen in Srikakulam, and thirty in Gadwal make up the total number of adopted schools.

An impressive 16,497 students are expected to gain from this change.

According to Lakshmi Manchu, “we identified schools in Gadwal based on specific criteria- minimal or no access to digital classrooms, a minimum of 50 students from grades 1 to 5, willingness to adopt the Teach for Change smart classroom curriculum, and readiness to conduct baseline, midline, and endline tests to document students’ progress.”

Lakshmi Manchu manages her time as an actress and producer, including the post-production process for her upcoming film Agni Nakshatram, very well. She said, “I love multitasking and make sure I plan my schedule accordingly.”
