Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, who has been in the Intensive Care Unit of a Mumbai hospital, is showing signs of improvement. Using her official Twitter account, Lata Mangeshkar’s family has posted a health bulletin.
The 92-year-old singer got admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital early this month after contracting COVID-19.
The statement reads, “Lata didi continues to be in the ICU at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai under treatment. She has been given a TRIAL of extubation (off the invasive Ventilator ) this morning.”
The statement further said, “Presently, she is showing signs of improvement but will remain under observation of the team of doctors headed by Dr. Pratit Samdani.”
Lata Mangeshkar is the recipient of India’s highest civilian award Bharat Ratna. The veteran Bollywood singer has also sung a couple of Telugu films.
