Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse-starrer “Lenin” has been in production for nearly two years and has seen multiple release date changes. This year alone, the makers have postponed the film twice. Now, the release date has been shifted for a third time.
According to producer Nagarjuna Akkineni, the director and his team requested additional time to deliver “something special.” As a result, the film will now arrive in theaters on July 10.
What the team could not achieve over the past several months and can accomplish in just a couple of additional weeks is something only they can explain.
Announcing the new date, Nagarjuna wrote, “They asked for a little more time to give their absolute 100% and create something very special. Their passion and spirit made me say yes.”
Frequent postponements have become a common trend in the Telugu film industry. Some production houses announce release dates well in advance without locking their schedules, only to revise them repeatedly later.
“Lenin” is directed by Murali Kishore Abburu and produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni and Naga Vamsi, with music by Thaman.
