After considering Priyamani and Ramya Krishna, the makers of the ‘Lucifer’ remake have f inally zeroed in on Nayanthara for an all-important role. The numero uno actress of Kollywood has officially signed on the dotted line. She will reprise the role that was played by Manju Warrier.
Nayanthara will play Chiranjeevi’s sister in this Telugu remake of the Malayalam blockbuster ‘Lucifer’. The film will be launched later this week.
Chiranjeevi reprises Mohanlal’s role. The remake will be directed by Mohan Raja, who earlier directed ‘Hanuman Junction’ in Telugu. He is one of the leading directors in the Tamil film industry.
NV Prasad is bankrolling the project. Satya Dev is said to be reprising one of the key roles of the ‘Lucifer’ remake.
Chiranjeevi is currently shooting for Koratala Siva’s ‘Acharya’ as well. The regular shoot ‘Lucifer’ will start in March. Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara had earlier acted together as husband and wife in ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’.
