“Lucky Baskhar” is a film that has been in the making for a while. The film, starring handsome actor Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role, is a period drama about bank scams. Directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments, “Lucky Baskhar” got postponed again.
The producers have now rescheduled the release date from September 7 to October 31st. The production house said in a statement that they have changed the date because they don’t want to compromise on dubbing quality in various languages and are working hard to get the best quality.
“Lucky Baskhar” features Dulquer Salmaan as a bank employee, while Meenakshi Chaudhary plays his wife. The story takes place in Mumbai during the 1980s and 1990s. Director Venky Atluri scored a success with his previous film “Sir,” starring Dhanush, and he is now putting in extra efforts to make this one a pan-Indian success.
“We appreciate and understand your anticipation towards our Lucky Baskhar. Yours and our favourite Dulquer Salmaan has delivered one of his finest performances as Baskhar and without compromising on quality, our ace technical crew recreated 80’s & 90’s Mumbai with extensive sets,” the team stated.
“Similarly, we are not compromising on dubbing quality in various languages, we want to make it sound & feel as authentically native as possible in every language. Being a multilingual film and grand pan-india release. We need some more time to achieve the quality we aspire to. With a heavy heart, we have decided to postpone the film, Lucky baskhar will now release on Diwali, 31st October 2024,” the statement continued.
