Actress Malavika Mohanan has expressed disappointment over the nature of certain questions asked by sections of the Tamil media during a recent interaction.
Malavika, who attended an event in Tamil Nadu, was reportedly irritated after a journalist repeatedly asked her opinion about Trisha Krishnan and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. The actress felt the questions were unnecessary and sensational.
Malavika had earlier shared screen space with Vijay in director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s blockbuster “Master”.
Taking to X.com after the event, she shared a strongly worded note expressing her displeasure.
“I went for an event yesterday, and while I have the utmost regard for all the journalists and members of the Tamil Nadu media, a couple of them persistently asked some very distasteful questions that were completely unnecessary and sensational,” she wrote.
Praising Vijay, Malavika added that she has known him for the past seven years and holds him in high regard.
“Thalapathy Vijay is someone I’ve known for the past seven years, someone I have a lot of respect for, and someone I’m grateful to call a friend. Watching his journey has been nothing short of incredible,” she stated.
She further urged the media to maintain dignity and sensitivity during celebrity interactions.
“I would really appreciate it if future media interactions could be kept respectful and considerate for the sake of everyone involved,” she concluded.
