“Mathu Vadalara 2” is on its way to emerge as a smash hit. The film, a sequel and a crime comedy, grossed a solid amount in its first weekend, both in the domestic Telugu market and the North American market.
In its first three days, the film collected Rs 10 crore (gross) in India. Additionally, it raised Rs 4.5 crore in the United States. So, the total first weekend gross is roughly around 14.5 to 15 crore. This is a huge sum for a small-budget crime comedy.
The movie generated more revenue than its 2019 predecessor, Mathu Vadalara. In the USA, the first part failed to collect even $100k in its lifetime gross, while the sequel exceeded half a million dollars ($500k) in its first weekend alone.
“Mathu Vadalara 2” will be the most profitable film for the producer Chiranjeevi (Cherry). Ritesh Rana directed the film, which starred Sri Simha Koduri, Satya, and Faria Abdullah.
With this success, Sri Simha Koduri can sign more films, although all of his recent movies were duds.
