We broke the news that Kamal Haasan doesn’t want to pair up with Gautami Tadimalla, his long-time lover. Gautami and Kamal had lived together for years but they broke up acrimoniously two years ago. They don’t want to face each other again.
This was the reason why director Jeethu Joseph immediately could take up the Tamil version of ‘Drishyam 2’. Check our previous story here.
The latest update is that Kamal Haasan has now agreed to do the remake of ‘Drishyam 2’ with the title ‘Papanasam 2’ but Meena will replace Gautami’s role.
Meena had played the role of the protagonist’s (Mohanlal) wife in the original Malayalam and the Telugu version (opposite Venkatesh). Meena will now step in to replace Gautami.
But there is no official confirmation yet. Meena and Kamal Haasan had earlier acted together in blockbuster ‘Bhamane Satyabhamane’. If they pair up again, it will add a good commercial value to the project.
