It was recently confirmed by NTR and his brother Kalyan Ram that work on part two of “Devara” is very much in progress, and the film will go on floors in 2026.
Koratala Siva has already been working on the script for “Devara 2.” Our sources said the director has made many changes to the original story and added new characters and more compelling drama for the second part.
The first part of “Devara” received criticism for its weak story and screenplay. Koratala Siva, as the writer, faced a lot of trolling. Hence, NTR and co-producer Kalyan Ram at one stage considered shelving “Devara 2” altogether. But they later changed their plans after seeing how franchise films—especially sequels—have been minting money.
“Devara 2” will see NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and other actors return to their roles, but there will be new additions to the cast. One or two popular names will be attached to the film as per the revised script.
“Devara 2” will be produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Harikrishna.
Currently, NTR is awaiting the release of his maiden Hindi film, War 2. Besides that, he is also working on Prashanth Neel’s “Dragon,” with shooting currently underway near Mangalore, Karnataka.
