Rashmika Mandanna, who recently earned praise for her performance in the romantic drama “The Girlfriend” and featured in several big hits this year, is now set to headline a female-centric action drama for the first time in her career. Titled “Mysaa,” the film’s much-awaited glimpse was unveiled today.
Directed by debutant Rawindra Pulle, Mysaa is being mounted on a grand pan-India scale with a substantial budget.
The intense teaser offers a gripping window into the dark and brutal world of the film. It opens with a haunting voice-over by the protagonist’s mother, who speaks about her daughter’s defiance of death and delivers the chilling line, “Remember the name — Mysaa,” perfectly setting the tone for what follows.
Rashmika Mandanna appears in her most ferocious avatar yet, undergoing a striking transformation for the role. Sporting a raw, unfiltered look, she delivers what promises to be the boldest and most violent performance of her career.
“Mysaa” stands out for portraying a female protagonist as a formidable Gond woman. The film also features Eshwari Rao, Guru Somasundaram, and Rao Ramesh in pivotal roles. Currently being shot across Telangana and the dense forests of Kerala, Mysaa places action at its core.
