Rajinikanth shows no signs of slowing down. Energized by the massive success of “Jailer,” the 74-year-old superstar is actively signing on for more films.
At one point, Rajinikanth had contemplated retirement due to health concerns, and there was speculation that “Jailer 2” might be his final film. However, he recently wrapped up work on Lokesh Kanagaraj’s “Coolie,” which is slated for release on August 14, 2025, and is now preparing to begin shooting for director Nelson Dilipkumar’s “Jailer 2.”
In an exciting development, Rajinikanth has reportedly signed a new project with leading Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers. The banner is currently finalizing a director for the film.
Mythri Movie Makers recently made their foray into the Tamil film industry with Ajith Kumar’s “Good Bad Ugly” and are planning several more high-profile Tamil projects in the near future.
