‘Naatu Naatu’ wins Oscar for Best Original Song

‘RRR’ by Rajamouli has made history. The film’s “Naatu Naatu” song won Best Original Song.

Many of the best-original-song nominees, including “Naatu Naatu” signers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairva, performed at the 95th Academy Awards. And the award went to MM Keeravani and Chandrabose.

AR Rahman did win Oscars for Best Original Song (“Jai Ho”) and Best Music, but not for an Indian film. He received the award for “Slumdug Millionaire,” a British film. As a result, “Naatu Naatu” becomes the first Indian film song to receive an Oscar nomination.

The song “Naatu Naatu” was composed by MM Keeravani, and the lyrics were written by Chandrabose. “RRR,” directed by Rajamouli, starred NTR and Ram Charan as the lead actors. This is the first time a Telugu film has been nominated for an Oscar. “RRR” became a global success.
