Tollywood actor Naga Shaurya is currently going through one of the most challenging phases of his career. The actor has not delivered a notable success in recent years and has also stayed away from the spotlight for quite some time.
His latest film, Bad Boy Karthik, which had been in production for a long time, finally hit theatres last Friday. However, the film failed to make any impact at the box office.
According to box office reports, the opening occupancy across the Telugu states was below 5 percent. This is an alarmingly low figure for a film featuring a recognizable star. The numbers indicate a clear disconnect between the film and the audience.
Trade analysts point out that today’s audiences are no longer influenced by star value alone. Instead, strong promotional content and fresh storytelling play a crucial role in attracting viewers.
Critics were also harsh on the film, with several outlets giving ratings as low as 1 to 1.75 out of 5. Reviews described the film as outdated and lacking originality. Even before its release, the trailer had received a lukewarm response, with many viewers calling it cliched and uninspiring.
