Actor Sai Dharam Tej, who was severely injured in a motorbike accident, is still in ICU in Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad. The evening health bulletin from the hospital said he is responding well to the treatment. “The surgery for collar bone injury will be looked into in 24 hours,” the bulletin said.
Meanwhile, his accident has turned into a political controversy with actor VK Naresh releasing a video on Saturday morning. Naresh said that he warned both Sai Dharam Tej and his son Vijay Krishna not to go bike racing. He also mentioned that Sai Tej left his home minutes before the accident. Furthermore, he listed out celebrities who had met with tragic fate in accidents.
Naresh implied that Sai Tej was driving rashly. His comments have created an uproar. The CCTV footage and the onlookers said there was sand on the road that caused the skidding of the bike.
Bandla Ganesh, Nattikumar, Sreekanth, and others slammed Naresh for using the unfortunate incident for petty politics. “Please don’t post irresponsible videos at this juncture. Among the young actors, Sai Tej is the most mature guy,” Sreekanth said.
Later, Naresh clarified that he had not mentioned racing. “Sai Teja is like my son. Sai and my son are close buddies. I prayed for his speedy recovery,” he clarified.
It is time that the Telugu film industry prays together for Sai Tej’s recovery and stops politicizing it.
