These days, celebrities are calling off engagements and cancelling weddings even after making public announcements and setting up grand celebrations. Recently, cricketer Smriti Mandhana walked out of her wedding with Palaash Muchhal just hours before the ceremony. Now, actress Nivetha Pethuraj appears to have cancelled her wedding plans as well.

Nivetha Pethuraj’s signs of breakup with Rajhith

Nivetha, known for her work in Telugu films like “Brochevarevura” and “Ala Vaikunthapurramloo”, has reportedly unfollowed her fiancé on Instagram. She deleted all photos related to their engagement and removed the announcement post with Rajhith Ibran, a Dubai-based businessman. Rajhith appears to have unfollowed her too.

The couple had confirmed their relationship in August 2025 with an Instagram post, stating they were engaged and planning to marry soon. Since then, Rajhith had shared several pictures, which remained visible until a few days ago.

At present, Nivetha’s Instagram profile seems entirely devoid of any trace of Rajhith or their engagement. Despite having around 4.1 million followers, she is now not following anyone. On the other side, Rajhith has also removed all traces of their relationship from his account.

Nivetha Pethuraj first rose to fame in the Tamil film industry. She made her Telugu debut with “Mental Madhilo” and went on to act in films such as “Chitralahari”, “Brochevarevura”, “Ala Vaikunthapurramloo”, “Red”, “Paagal”, “Virata Parvam” and “Das Ka Dhamki”.

The 35-year-old actress has not signed any new films in the past two years. Many assumed that she was choosing to step away from acting and focus on her personal life, expecting that marriage would be the next big step. Now, with the breakup and cancelled wedding plans, her future in films remains uncertain.

Nivetha yet to make statement

Given the sudden unfollow and removal of all related posts, it seems likely that Nivetha and Rajhith have parted ways. Fans and followers are now left speculating whether she will return to acting or take a break to deal with personal matters. For now, Nivetha has remained silent, and there is no official statement from either side.
