Director Shankar, who has delivered giant flops with “Indian 2” and “Game Changer,” is now finding it difficult to bankroll his next film. Before the announcement of “Game Changer,” Shankar had declared that he would direct a film with Ranveer Singh, and it would mostly be the remake of “Aparachitudu” (Anniyan).
But Ranveer Singh moved on to the other projects. He will be starting the shooting of “Don 3” in the direction of Farhan Akhtar.
“We are planning to make a bigger film than Aparichit. After the release of ‘Game Changer,’ we will decide how to take it forward,” Shankar told the media last year.
The latest information is that Ranveer Singh felt it was too risky for him to collaborate with Shankar, who has been going through a negative phase. Ranveer Singh himself is facing a lean phase. Therefore, their current collaboration is no longer viable.
Shankar is currently hoping to get a nod from Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar. He is now focusing on to revive his Tamil film career.
