Shilpa Shetty has strongly refuted the allegations in the ongoing legal case involving her and husband Raj Kundra. The Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing recently added cheating charges against the couple in connection with an alleged Rs 60 crore fraud case.
Responding to the development, the actor took to Instagram late at night to deny all accusations. She urged the media to refrain from spreading baseless reports and requested that the issue not be given a “criminal colour,” stressing that the matter is currently sub judice.
Calling the allegations “baseless and motivated,” Shilpa stated that a civil dispute was being unnecessarily projected as a criminal case without legal grounds. She also confirmed that a quashing petition has already been filed in the High Court and is presently under consideration.
