No limit to this grief: Ilayaraja

SPB and Ilayaraja

Music maestro Ilayaraja is at a loss of words to express his grief over the death of SP Balasubrahmanyam. Their friendship began in the 1970s. Ilayaraja was part of SPB’s musical troupe before the latter became a composer.

Devastated by SPB’s death, Raja posted a video message on his YouTube channel. Trying to control his tears, the music composer said that this grief is beyond the limit, and he cannot cope up with it.

“I told you to come back soon. But you are gone now. Have you left this place to sing for Gandharvas? There is a level of grief. There’s no limit to this. I am loss of words,” he said in the tearful video.
