The pre-release celebrations of “Kantara: Chapter 1” drew major attention in Hyderabad, with NTR attending as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, direct and lead actor Rishab Shetty said he was overwhelmed by the affection he received in the Telugu states. “This feels like home,” he said. “It’s heartwarming to see such a huge turnout.”
He also expressed heartfelt thanks to NTR for making time to attend the event.
NTR, who recently recovered from an injury, spoke fondly of the folk stories his grandmother used to tell him during his childhood. “I was always curious about those tales. What is this Guliga play? Who are the Panjurlis? I always felt I must witness them at least once in my lifetime. That curiosity lived in me for years, and it found closure with Rishab Shetty’s Kantara.”
Speaking highly of Rishab Shetty’s craft, NTR lauded him as a filmmaker with a rare combination of vision and versatility. He remarked that Rishab doesn’t just excel in direction or acting, but has a command over every aspect of filmmaking.
“Kantara Chapter 1” is set for release on October 2nd.
