October 2025: A festival month packed with releases

October 2025 is shaping up to be a month of cinematic celebrations, with two major festival, Dasara and Deepavali, falling back-to-back. The festive season has given filmmakers a perfect opportunity to schedule big-ticket releases in theaters.

On the occasion of Dasara, audiences can look forward to the highly anticipated “Kantara: Chapter 1.” Directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, the film has already generated massive excitement and is expected to draw packed houses.

For Deepavali, four notable films are set to clash at the box office: Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Telusu Kada, Kiran Abbavaram’s K-Ramp, Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude, and Priyadarshi’s Mithra Mandali.

Among these, “Telusu Kada” and “K-Ramp” are currently generating the most buzz. Despite the failure of his previous film Jack, Siddhu is going all out to promote “Telusu Kada,” which also features Raashi Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty in glamorous roles. Meanwhile, Kiran Abbavaram is banking on K-Ramp’s youthful storyline to attract audiences.

Tamil star Pradeep Ranganathan, who delivered hits with dubbed films Love Today and Return of the Dragon, is aiming for a hat-trick with “Dude.”

Ravi Teja’s “Mass Jathara” has also joined the October race. After multiple postponements, the film has locked October 31st as its release date.
