OTT Attractions: Bhamakalapam, Gehraiyaan and more

Valentine’s Day is around the corner. OTT companies have lined up some awesome romantic content – web dramas and movies during this period. Besides the regular love stories, Amazon, Aha, Zee 5, and other streaming platforms have readied interesting movies for a premiere.

This weekend, we will witness several movies directly streaming on OTT platforms skipping the theatrical window. Here’s a look at the upcoming OTT-special attractions.

Mahaan – Amazon Prime – Feb 10

Tamil actor Vikram and his son Dhruv have acted together in this Tamil movie. The thriller written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj premieres on February 10 on Amazon Prime.

Vikram and his son acting together is the main highlight of this film.

Bhamakalapam – Aha

Bhamakalapam’ marks the Telugu OTT debut of Priyamani. The makers say it is a ‘delicious home-cooked thriller’. Directed by Abhimanyu Tadimeti, Dear Comrade’s director Bharat Kamma runs as the showrunner, The web movie has Priyamani as a housewife.

Bhamakalapam premieres on Feb 11 on Aha Video.

Malli Modalaindi – Zee5

Sumanth has been in the industry for more than 25 years. He is still getting lead roles to play despite a low success rate. Sumanth has acted in a drama that deals with life after divorce. The makers say it is a unique concept.

Sumanth plays a chef. Naina Ganguly and Varshini are the female leads. It premieres on ZEE5 Telugu on 11th February.

Gehraiyaan – Amazon Prime

Deepika Padukone’s ‘Gehraiyaan’ is another notable biggie that premieres this weekend on OTT. The film is a tale of infidelity. Deepika Padukone plays an urban woman who gets attracted to another man after being in a relationship with another person. Ananya Panday plays the second lead. Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa are the male leads.

Directed by Shakun Batra, the romantic tale is a ‘mirror into modern adult relationships’. ‘Gehraiyaan’ will release on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, 2022.
