Telangana police have taken Allu Arjun into custody in connection with the Sandhya theater stampede case. The police reportedly arrested Allu Arjun on Friday morning after visiting his residence in Banjara Hills and took him to Chikkadpalli police station, where they registered a case against him and others involved in the Sandhya theater stampede.
It is known that a stampede took place at the Sandhya Theater on the 4th of December during the midnight premiere shows of “Pushpa 2.” The stampede claimed the life of a woman named Revathi and severely injured her son. The Chikkadpalli police have registered a case in the stampede incident. The police have also named Allu Arjun as an accused in that case. The police have already arrested the staff of Sandhya Theater in the same case.
However, Allu Arjun has already filed a petition in the Telangana High Court to quash the case against him. The police shockingly took Allu Arjun into custody even as the star’s petition is under judicial process.
The arrest of a prominent celebrity such as Allu Arjun during a stampede is unprecedented, and the police’s decision came as a huge shock to the Telugu film industry.
