Pooja Hegde, the current reigning queen of the Telugu cinema industry, is set to re-enter into Tamil film industry. The 30-year-old actress made her debut in ‘Mugamoodi’ in 2012.
She is said to have now signed Thalapathy Vijay’s new film. Vijay, who scored a success with Sankranthi release ‘Master’, will start shooting for director Nelson Dilipkumar next month.
Pooja Hegde was earlier approached for Vijay – Murugadaoss’s film. Now, she is pairing up with him in this action drama. However, an official announcement is awaited.
Since Vijay has gained market in Telugu states, the casting of Pooja Hegde would help him further.

Pooja Hegde is currently acting opposite Prabhas in ‘Radhe Shyam’. She almost wrapped up her work in ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’. In Bollywood, she is part of two biggies – Salman Khan’s ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’ and Ranveer Singh’s ‘Cirkus’.
