Pooja Hegde feels 2025 turned out to be a good year for her

Pooja Hegde went through a difficult phase in her career in the last two years. She did not get a single release in 2024, and her only film in 2023 failed at the box office. With two years of setbacks, many believed her career had reached a dead end.

However, 2025 turned into a strong comeback year for her. She acted alongside Suriya in “Retro.” Although the film did not succeed commercially, her special number in Rajinikanth’s “Coolie” became a sensation. The song kept her trending for months and helped revive her popularity.

Pooja Hegde had three releases in 2025 and is gearing up for the release of Vijay’s “Jana Nayakudu” in January 2026.

She also has two more projects in hand, including a Telugu film that is currently on the sets. Overall, the year brought her back into the spotlight and restored her busy schedule.

Reflecting on her journey, she said the year has been a creative turning point.

“It has been a very satisfying year from a creative point of view, with the kind of reception and love I received for my performances, especially my role in ‘Retro’. And the ‘Monica’ song turning into a rage added to that. It has been creatively fulfilling,” she told Travel + Leisure Magazine.
