Director Prashanth Neel was supposed to start shooting “Salaar 2” in June, and he even sought the availability of various actors such as Prithviraj Sukumaran, Bobby Simha, and Sriya Reddy. But the shooting did not resume.
Some claimed the film had been shelved. According to some reports, Neel will begin shooting “Salaar 2” with child artists as they grow taller soon. He might resume filming “Salaar 2” with the main actors in 2025 or 2026, the reports claimed. Despite numerous reports in the media and on social media, he remained silent.

On the other hand, a film featuring Prashanth Neel and NTR was recently announced. According to the press statement, regular shooting will begin in August. However, there is currently no pre-production activity on this project.
