Bandla Ganesh, an actor and producer, was sentenced to one year in jail and fined Rs 95 lakh in a check bounce case. A court in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, ordered Bandla Ganesh to pay all legal fees.
Bandla Ganesh, who is currently active in Telangana Congress party, took Rs 95 lakhs from Muppalla village resident Jetty Venkateswarulu’s family, and gave a post-dated cheque for Rs 95 lakh.
The check was not honored, and Jetty Venkateshwarulu filed a complaint against Bandla. The Ongole court today ruled against Bandla Ganesh, ordering him to pay Venkateshwarlu Rs 95 lakhs in 30 days, along with a fine and legal expenses.
In addition, the court sentenced him to one year in prison for the case.
Bandla Ganesh has numerous such cases. He produced films like as “Temper” and “Gabbar Singh,” but his attitude and tendency to break promises alienated him from Tollywood heroes and directors. He has not made a film in the past ten years.
