Dhanush’s 50th film “Raayan” was simultaneously released in Tamil and Telugu. The film’s Tamil version enjoyed an impressive debut weekend in both the domestic and international markets. In its debut weekend in North America, the film nearly reached the half-million mark.
However, the Telugu version had an ordinary to below-average debut. The Telugu version of “Raayan” grossed around Rs 5.10 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, which is rather low. However, given the film’s minimal publicity, this revenue can be deemed average. Suresh – Asian Movies handled the film’s distribution.
Dhanush directed the film “Raayan“. Sundeep Kishan played an important part as well.
The Telugu films that were released in theaters last weekend had no response at all. Raj Tarun’s “Purushothamudu” and Rakhit Atluri’s “Operation Raavan” failed at the box office.
