Actor and filmmaker Raghava Lawrence has sparked fresh speculation about his future plans after announcing that he will make an important statement on June 11.
For the past few days, rumors have been circulating on social media and in political circles about Lawrence’s possible entry into active politics.
Taking to social media, Lawrence said that several media organizations and journalists had been contacting him for clarification regarding the reports. He added that he would respond to all questions at a press conference scheduled for June 11 at 9:30 AM.
“Many media friends have been reaching out to me seeking clarity. Since the speculation has grown considerably, I felt it was necessary to address it,” he wrote.
Currently busy shooting for his upcoming film “Benz,” Lawrence said his filming commitments will conclude on June 10, after which he will share what he described as an “important decision” concerning his life.
Speculation is rife that he may contest from the Trichy constituency on a TVK ticket. The seat was vacated by Vijay, the current Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, after he won from two constituencies in the election.
