The recent political slugfest in Telangana included mentions of Samantha’s divorce case and Rakul Preet Singh’s name. While the entire Telugu film industry came out to condemn minister Konda Surekha’s comments against Samantha’s divorce case and Nagarjuna’s family, Rakul Preet Singh responded to the remarks about her.
She expressed her pain at hearing such vicious and baseless rumors about the women in this fraternity.
“I am absolutely apolitical and have nothing to do with any person/political party, whatsoever. I urge to stop using my name in malicious way to gain political mileage,” she wrote.
She further added, “Artists and creative personalities should be kept out of political slugfest and their names should no be used to grab headlines by linking them with fictitious stories.”
